The planned project is a cultural one. It has been worked out in cooperation of four partners. Keresztury Dezső ÁMK, which Hungarian company based in Zala County contributes to the project with his experience in theatrical arts; LARTIS KFT offers his experience with respect to dance theatres; ’Pántlika’ folk dance group of Göcsej Kapuja Bak ÁMK and ’Nefelejcs’ folk dance group of the Slovene Association of Pedagogists along the River Mur participate with their experience in organising folk dance courses. The project is aimed at reconstructing and disseminating the folklore of the Göcsej and Prekmurje regions by organising courses, workshops, tanchaz events and forums to present best practices. Utilising the dancing skills so acquired, the partners are planning to stage theatre performances to revive the shared historic events and literary and ethnographical traditions of the regions. They are also staging a contemporary Slovene-Hungarian drama. The project is planned for 32 months starting in January 2012 and finishing in August 2014. The project treats both the Hungarian and the Slovene target groups as equal, half the events are held in Hungary and another half in Slovenia, respectively. As part of the project we are planning to organise six dancing courses, ten tanchaz events, five workshops, three demonstrations of best practices, seven stage performances of which three are chamber dances, three are big-stage dance shows and one is a contemporary drama performance; all based on the reconstruction of the two folklore traditions (of Göcsej and of Prekmurje). The partners are planning to write up the outcome of the project in a publication and publish a DVD. The partners aim to maintain sustainability by carrying on their own work, disseminating the achievements to other dance groups, and making these achievements integral elements of the basic education of music and arts.
